Dr Paul Allin (Practice Principal)

Honorary Clinical Associate Professor, Graduate School of Medicine, University of Wollongong
Dr Paul Allin qualified in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia) in 1981. Paul is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Wollongong Graduate Medical School and has over 20 years experience in medical and business administration. He has post-graduate qualifications in Business Administration,Occupational Health andSkin Cancer Medicineand plays an active role in teaching undergraduate medical students & Medical Registrars under the GPSynergy training program. He is also a RACGP and RAMUS mentor.

Dr Michael Browne (Practice Principal)

Clinical Senior Lecturer, University of Wollongong Graduate School of Medicine
Dr Mike Browne is enjoying his fourth decade of general practice and has worked in urban, rural and extremely remote practice locations over this time. Mike is actively involved in medical education and has teaching roles with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, GP Synergy and the University Of Wollongong Graduate School of Medicine. He enjoys being active outside in the beautiful Shoalhaven region and loves being a Grandpa.

Dr Michele Browne (Practice Principal)

Dr Michele Browne completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of NSW in 1980. She undertook further training through the Royal Australian College of General Practice and more recently further training in Palliative and Aged Care.Dr Michele has worked in General Practice in Canberra, Aitutaki (the Cook Islands, as an Australian Volunteer Abroad for 2 years), and in the Shoalhaven since 1996. She is very involved in the planning and building supervision of the NNM Practice facilities, and various expansion phases since. Michele enjoys time spent with family and friends, and exploring beautiful sites around the Shoalhaven region. 

Dr Simon Devlin (Practice Principal)

Dr Devlin graduated from the University of NSW in 1984. He completed the Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1987. Dr Devlin has worked in North Nowra since 1989.
Simon has a special interest in pregnancy care. He is also interested in General Practice medicine and the role of nutrition in health care. Dr Devlin is happy to take on new patients requiring pre and post natal care.

Dr Rod Sloane (Practice Principal)

Dr Sloane grew up in Bomaderry and relocated back to the local area in 2010. He completed his graduate medical degree through the University of Sydney in 2005 and completed his internship and residency through Wollongong Hospital in 2006-07 with rotations at both Shoalhaven Hospital and Shellharbour Hospital. He has worked in local General Practice since 2010 and was awarded Fellowship in the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2011. Rod has a special interest in Aviation Medicine and completed the Diploma in Aviation Medicine through the Royal College of Physicians in 2009. Dr Rod is a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) for CASA and is also qualified in dive medicine, with special interests in occupational medicine and emergency medicine.   

Dr Jon Hoar


Dr Hoar – originally from the UK, has been at North Nowra Medical since 2006 and is one of the original Doctors who joined the practice when it first moved to McMahons Rd. Dr Jon is a keen triathalete and is happy to impart his wealth of knowledge on nutrition to his patients. Dr Jon has recently Fellowed as Lifestyle Medicine Practioner.ASLMThis Fellowship represents the highest level of expertise and peer recognition available to health professionals in the field of Lifestyle Medicine – Check out his website-Lifestyle Therapy


Dr Graham Morgan

MB.BS. (Hons) (SYD) B.Sc FRACGP.
Dr Morgan is a Sydney University graduate in both Medicine and Science as well as being a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
He has practiced and lived in the Shoalhaven since 1984. Dr Graham has also been at our practice since 2006.
His time off is spent pursuing his love of all things wild especially photography in East and Southern Africa. He is a world renowned International
Award Winning Wildlife Photographer and has had his images showcased at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, The Natural History Museum in London
and the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle in Paris.
Congratulations Graham on your 2020 RURAL MEDICAL SERVICE AWARD Each year, NSW Rural Doctors Network (RDN) recognises General Practitioners (GPs) who have provided long-standing medical service to remote, rural and regional NSW.

Dr Johanes Santoso

BMed FRACGP ACCSC MS (Skin Cancer)
Dr Santoso graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2001. He went on to complete his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2005. Dr Johanes enjoys working with his patients here at North Nowra and has a extensive experience in skin cancer medicine and plays an integral role in the North Nowra Skin Cancer Clinic. When away from the practice he enjoys playing tennis. Due to a high demand for his services Dr Santoso is only able to accept new patients for the Skin Cancer Clinic.

Dr Anju Hanchate

Dr Hanchate is one of our original Registrars who trained under the Drs here at North Nowra Medical, to go onto to completing her training as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Anju practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is a well loved and valued member of our team.Dr Hanchate completed her Bachelor Of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1994. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and a member of the Australian Medical Council (AMC).Dr Anju is also a GP Synergy Education Supervisor and works with us on Tuesdays. Dr Anju also offers THOR Laser Therapy.

Dr Aroop Roy

Dr Roy is a well loved and respected doctor here at North Nowra Medical. Coming to our practice after working with Dr Graham Morgan at his practice in Sussex Inlet. Dr Roy completed his Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Roy consults Monday to Fridays. Dr Roy welcomes new patients to his care.

Dr Will Hawkyard

GP SYNERGY – Registrar of the Year – 2018  Lower Eastern NSW | South Eastern

Dr Will is a UK-trained doctor and lives locally with his family. He previously worked with the orthopaedics team at the Shoalhaven Hospital and is now a fellowed GP at our practice. Prior to moving to Australia, Dr Will worked in various countries across the Europe and Middle East before training and working as a doctor in South Wales in the UK. Having previously trained as an engineer, Dr Will enjoys many of the practical aspects of General Practice including musculoskeletal medicine.
In his spare time he loves spending time with his young family. He is a keen kitesurfer and when not in the surgery, can be found enjoying many of the Shoalhaven beaches.

Dr Will welcomes new patients to his care is currently consulting 4 days per week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday and is also available for Video consults.


Dr Kylie Short

Dr Kylie joined our practice in February 2017, she consults with us 4 days per week ( Tuesday to Friday ) and has recently completed her Specialist training at our practice. She is now a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Dr Kylie enjoys working with her patients & has an interest in Aged Care. Dr Kylie offers Ferinject infusions to current and new patients.

Dr Summit Goudar

Dr Summit joined our practice in February 2017, currently consulting Mondays, Wednesdays (am) & Thursday (am) and is nearing completion of her Specialist General Practitioner training. Dr Summit is now a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).Dr Summit welcomes new patients to her care/

Dr Luke Van Rossum

BHlthSc (USYD – Dean’s Schol), MBBS (UOW)  FRACGP
Dr Luke grew up locally in the Shoalhaven. He graduated from the University of Wollongong Graduate School of Medicine in 2014 under the RAMUS scholarship. He completed his undergraduate degree in Health Science in 2010 at The University of Sydney, being awarded the University medal Dean’s Scholar. He has recently obtained his Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2019.
He completed his Junior Doctor training locally at Shoalhaven, Shellharbour and Wollongong hospital. He continues to hold postings as a Locum doctor in the emergency departments at Shoalhaven and Shellharbour hospital and is an assistant Surgeon at Nowra, Shellharbour and St George Private hospital.
Dr. Luke  has a strong commitment to the local community and continues to live in the Shoalhaven with his young family.
Dr Luke joined our practice in February 2018, consulting Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays.  Dr Luke also welcomes new patients to his care.

Dr Andrew Sleeman


Andrew was born and bred in Perth before joining the Navy and relocating to the east coast in 1994. After a previous career, he switched to Medicine and graduated from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery in 2016 before completing his junior medical training in the Shoalhaven and Illawarra areas. He has gained additional qualifications as a Yellow Fever and Q-Fever vaccination provider, Implanon insertions/removals, ferinject infusions, and is qualified in recreational and occupation dive medicine. Andrew remains in active duty for the Navy and has a special interest in Veterans Health. When not practicing, Andrew tries to enjoy life outdoors with his family.

Andrew joined the practice in February 2020, consulting on Wednesdays, and welcomes new patients to his care.


Dr Debbie Friend

Dr Friend works every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. 
Dr Friend welcomes new patients to her care. 

Dr Dan Rudd 

Dr Dan Rudd graduated from Sydney University in 2009 with a degree in Pharmacy and again in 2014 with a degree in Medicine. He lives in the Shoalhaven with his young family and enjoys all aspects of General Practice.
Dr Dan offers occupational health checks and is accredited for Rail Medicals.
Dr Dan consults with us Monday, Wednesday and Fridays, he welcomes new and existing practice patients to his care.

Dr Edwina Butler 

Edwina has lived all around Australia, completing her degree in Medicine from the University of Wollongong in 2017. After completing her junior doctor training in Tasmania she returned to the South Coast to commence specialist GP training. She is a current member of the Navy and joined the practice in December of 2021 to continue her training. Edwina enjoys all outdoor activities and spending time with her young family. 
Dr Butler consults with us on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and she welcomes new patients to her care.
