CASA Medicals

CASA Medicals are conducted by Designated Aviation Medical Examiners (DAMEs), Dr Rod Sloane, Dr Dan Rudd, Dr Andrew Sleeman, Dr Jessica Cusumano and , for all Pilots and Air Traffic Controllers. All medicals require a 30-minute appointment with one of our Practice Nurses followed by a 30-minute appointment with a DAME. An online medical history via the CASA website (myCASA) is required to be completed prior to your appointment.

Please also note that, if needed, audiology, ECGs, and spirometry are available at North Nowra Medical Practice and can be done on the day of your medical. 

If you wear contact lenses or glasses you must bring along the back-up contact lenses and/or glasses you use during flying as these need to be tested as well.

If you are unsure of the any requirements that CASA have required be completed at your medical (ie extra tests or specialist reports), a 15 minute appointment can be made prior to your medical with the DAME to clarify the requirements.
