Dr Zahid joined the Doctors consulting at North Nowra from 3/2/25 and is working towards his Royal Australian College Fellowship in General Practice.

Dr. Hussein grew up in Iraq and completed his Junior Doctor training in 2015. He furthered his training at Wollongong Hospital, working in the Emergency Department and medical wards. He worked as a locum doctor in various rural and remote areas, bringing extensive experience in emergency medicine, geriatrics, and pediatrics.

Dr. Hussein has a special interest in skin cancer, geriatric and medical cannabis, and he is passionate about providing quality care to the community. Outside of medicine, Dr. Hussein enjoys cooking. He also loves swimming at the beach and exploring the beautiful coastal landscapes of Nowra with his wife. In his free time, he enjoys reading, particularly books on health and wellness, and is an avid hiker.

Dr. Hussein looks forward to becoming an active member of the Nowra community and contributing to both the health sector and local activities.
